The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requires financial institutions (companies that offer consumers financial products or services such as loans, financial or investment advice, or insurance) to explain its information sharing practices and to safeguard sensitive information.

While Troy Stowe Luxury Homes is not a financial institution, we often act on the behalf of one and as a result, want to notify you of our privacy policies. At Troy Stowe Luxury Homes, we value privacy and take appropriate measures at all times to protect all confidential and Non-public Personal Information (“NPI”) that we may possess. The type of personal information or NPI we possess varies based on the service we provide. The sensitive information can include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Birth date;
  • Social security number;
  • Employment information;
  • Driver’s license number;
  • Loan number, account balance and transaction history; and
  • Credit history.

In order to perform real estate settlement services, we often need to share customers’ personal information with certain third parties who have a “need to know.” Examples of these third parties are lenders from whom we are seeking payoff information, homeowner’s association management companies, mortgage service providers and our banking institution. We do not disclose any NPI to anyone other than for the purpose of completing the service that we are providing. Troy Stowe Luxury Homes DOES NOT SELL ANY LISTS THAT CONTAIN NPI FOR ANY PURPOSE.

We vet all of our employees and certain third party service providers and have enforced policies regarding data access, storage, retention and destruction to ensure the safety of your information electronically and physically. Should a data breach occur and your information is compromised, Troy Stowe Luxury Homes adheres to Georgia law and will take the required actions outlined in O.C.G.A. §10-1-910; §10-1-911; and §10-1-912.
